People often ask what the oldest book in the store is…
Currently it is Remonstrances Tres-Hymbles av Roy de France which was printed in 1588 and is bound in vellum.
This tract was a call to action in response to the troubled state of the French kingdom at the time. Coincidentally or not, the regime of King Henry III was toppled later that same year.
