The Lord of the Rings comprised of: Volume 1: The Fellowship of the Ring (1954); Volume 2: The Two Towers (1954); The Return of the King (1955). No original dust jackets (includes facsimile jackets). Octavo. All bound in red cloth with gilt lettering on spines. Volumes are in fair condition with some water damage and cocked spines. The first volume has fading and a split to cloth on spine with a cut out from the original jacket taped onto front pastedown and newspaper article taped to rear free endpaper. All three volumes contain original fold-out maps at rear in Very Good condition.
